Stargazer
This is my test model for an army that I'm thinking of doing. Please give me any feedback and thoughts on the model as I haven't ever really painted chaos before! Sorry for the quality of the pics, I really should get/make a lightbox..... http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac96/Stargazer197/CIMG2061.jpg http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac96/Stargazer197/CIMG2064.jpg http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac96/Stargazer197/CIMG2062.jpg http://i889.photobucket.com/albums/ac96/Stargazer197/CIMG2065.jpg So yeah please give me your thoughts :) Thanks Stargazer
Zincite
I'd brighten up the red a bit, give a bit of relief from the generally-dark rest of the mini. ^_^
Brother Nihm
I agree, but just a lil' bit. Maybe add some grey+brown mix highlights to the skull, to tie it in with the base of the model. (if that makes any sense, it's late here. :P)
Stargazer
Thanks for the comments guys! Ok I can kinda see a trend going here :P I should probably explain a bit more although I think I will brighten up the red. With this model I was trying to go with a light source from the models right hand side (left as you look head on) to give the feeling of the Night Lords emerging at sunset, this is why one side of the model seems much darker than the other. I'm not sure whether I really pulled it off but I think a whole army painted in this way will probably be quite striking. (Or just look balls depending on my painting :P )
