Thunderhawk Flying Base

i haven't done this myself, but i know the theory.

basically, get a block/small board of wood (balsa might be a bit weak, but I am not sure) and then cut it down to appropriate size (so a large circular base, maybe 7" wide?)

Once you do this, drill a large hole through it and get a "tube" of wood (maybe get a long rectangle sort of thing, and shave it down to a cylinder) and then glue it to the hole.

Then, drill a similar sized hole through the bottom of your Hawk and then place it on top of the poll (cylinder, poll, whatever). And there you have it, a flying thunderhawk.

Please note, A friend of mine did this and I am only recalling a rough approximation of what he did. not entierly sure if those are all of the steps.

Hope this helps.
