MEanBOb
I've had my sternguard lying around for a while, but no army to use them in, so I figured I'd paint em' up with a color I've never done before. Here's the result: Constructive criticism is welcome. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219841-first-attempt-at-yellow/ Share on other sites

MEanBOb
He's going to be Imperial Fists. The model is a test for my Space Hulk Termies. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219841-first-attempt-at-yellow/#findComment-2622659 Share on other sites
Solid Zaku
Looking good. Some people might have a problem with the highlights, but I just see that as your stamp as a painter. Can't wait to see the Termy's. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219841-first-attempt-at-yellow/#findComment-2622665 Share on other sites
robson11
Hey,  good going in your first try! I actually like the grimy look of your yellow too. One thing you might change is to do your final highlight ,that leans to white, as lining instead of an overal highlight. That would leave your yellow to show of on the armour with white highlights. But thats my taste!  Cheers  Robson Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219841-first-attempt-at-yellow/#findComment-2622708 Share on other sites
Zincite
Up-close The yellow doesn't look that good, it's a little bit brown (though it's way better than mine). However I'm guessing it looks brilliant so long as you're not so close you're peering up his nose. :D Â :teehee: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219841-first-attempt-at-yellow/#findComment-2622893 Share on other sites
MEanBOb
Yea my camera does some odd things to the highlights. They really pop and don't blend at all. I've edged my armor on all my other BTs so I figured I'd try something different highlight wise.
