Brother_Ovis
Hi, Recently I started painting some RG terminators for LPC, it's the first time I'm painting so much white surfaces and it's not exactly going as expected. I've got two problems: - despite many thin layers the white is still a little blotchy. I used black undercoat - some thin layers of Deneb Stone - layers of white, but the surface is still far from uniform. Any hints? - the colour is very cold and chalky, has this almost bluish, frosty hue. I need to warm it up somehow. What glaze should I use? I'm guessing something brownish, but I have virtually no experience with painting white, so any advice would be much appreciated, best with some photos if that's possible. Ramell
For white, I use Skull White with a little Astronomican Grey and water mixed in. Covers much better than pure Skull White, and it looks white. Plus it can be highlighted. For shading, I use Chaos Black on my Marines, and Badab Black on my Imperial Guard. I only have one B&C appropriate example. But it shows the white well enough, I think. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu321/Ramell_of_Cadia/Ultramarines/Third%20Company/Squad%20Aurelius/JanusCastor03.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219851-shading-white/#findComment-2623185 Share on other sites
