PHS Posted January 25, 2011 Author Share Posted January 25, 2011 Again, thanks for the thoughts. @Varred : my gs skills only extend to gap filling and the odd purity seal, sculpting wings is a bit beyond me unfortunatly. @PsY Crash : the Bushido helmet refers to the chaos marine skull helmet. Bushido was a user on here from way back in the mists of time and a big source of inspiration for a lot of people, not least myself. I think the head can be found on the standard chaos space marine sprue , the backpack is from the dark angel veterans box. @tiny sam : there is a couple of cool bits on that sprue, I like the skull with upwardly pointing wings but I'm quite keen on the brutal simplicity of the spikey skull in my picture. @vash1023 : if you mean weathering on the sarge then yes, just washes of graveyard earth and kommando khaki. @Slyen : cheers dude ;) , hopefully won't be too long before he get some paint on him. many thanks for the comments and thoughts, all much appreciated. I know where the majority are from, but I'd really really love to know where that powerfist and those legs come from. Looks great so far, can't wait to see the rest of it painted. PHS Posted January 30, 2011 Author Share Posted January 30, 2011 The lower legs are off an old chaplain figure from the 90's, the feet and top half are plastic and greenstuff. I think the power fist was from the old space wolf sprue, the thumb, index finger and little finger have been carefully removed and swapped around. hope that helps. Still needs a bit of work on the tabard, a freehand pattern along the bottom should make it a bit more interesting.
