Vor
I thought Crimson Fists when I saw the one on the right too. Sorry. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/220302-max-your-wolves-look-to-blue/page/2/#findComment-2634979 Share on other sites
MalachiOfRuss
If you want more blue this is the scheme I am usuing. Black Primer Fenris Grey Wash Asurmen Blue (acts as more of a glazed than a wash) Highlight with Fenris Grey/Shadow Grey mixes. My final highlights are with Ice Blue instead of Space Wolf Grey (personal preference) I would post an example but the site is saying I cannot post a link from photobucket. Weird Dude! I was just thinking (in the last day or so) "I wonder if Asurmen Blue would look good as a wash over Fenris Grey." I want my wolves to have that "dark grey with a hint of dark blue" look to them. Can you post a link to see how it looks? Emperor's Scourge
This is just my personal opinion, but I don't like my models to have sharp edge highlighting. I know its the way GW wants you to paint them, but it looks fake to me. These massive angels of death that are rolling across the battlefield have really bright lines around their armor plating because...of lighting...yeah. ;) I prefer to use shadows to add depth to my models. Granted, it can look really good when done well. Just not how I like my dudemans to look.
