This is one of my priests shortly after finishing assembly:

I made it with a combination of Command Squad and Death Company bits.

The priests I see are so often either chalice in the air or sword up (and I am also guilty with this for my JP priest) that I wanted a slightly different pose.

This priest usually goes with my Tacticals and Devastators in the rear so is more a defensive inspiration.

The one thing that isn't very clear in this angle is how he is holding his chain sword and the angle he is looking at. I posed him to look like he is blocking the attack of a larger enemy, which is of course just as heroic as leading the charge ;-)

Alas, the only real benefit he adds to my army is Furious Charge (assuming he doesn't die). I have a propensity to fail a horrendous amount of 2+ saves, and in about 40 games, I've only successfully passed about 5 Feel No Pain rolls (I play a pure Sanguinary Guard force, and with so few targets...d'I mean models, I end up taking a lot of incoming fire and thus have to attempt (translation=fail) a lot of saves and FNP rolls).

Just wanted to say how nice this conversion was. Using the torso from the Baal predator along with the many other nice plastic parts, this guy really looks special

Thanks mate, much appreciated

Shamelessly stolen from Vahouth B)

Thats ok, I shamlessly stole ideas for my second one from you  still needs a lick of paint though:-

 Don't think any of your stuff won't get the "borrowed for an indefinite period of time" treatment either Midnight.

I am really digging the paint job. I salute you, good sir. The understated tones are fantastic.

Awesome paintjob DV8! -Pic saved-

and what an uncommon name for a "life saver".

It's like having a surgery and the doctor's name is Death! :(

Not a fan of the one on the right, he's the old metal apothecary, I'll work at replacing him, especially as he's the one designated to follow my Sanguinary guard around. The others just use pieces from the Death Company box and the Apothecary arm and chest from the Command Squad.

I know this is a bit of an old topic, but seeing as how I just
finished converting my Sanguinary Priest today, I wanted to share it. He
hasn't reached the primer stage yet, but that should allow you to see
how the conversion was done. I may do a bit of last-minute modification
before I prime him, so that may be a good thing.

The
chalice is made from a piece from the Furioso Dreadnought sprue (I
think; I can't quite remember because I found it in my bits box), the
arm from a Standard Bearer, and some Green Stuff. I may redo the bottom
part, as well as add some purity seals and other iconography.

And yes, the Green Stuff on top of/inside the chalice is going to be blood sloshing around.

Since starting work up in Vermont I've had no time for 40k. This means I've still an army of Grey Knights to paint, a bunch of BA stuff to paint up, and plenty of BA stuff to touch up, drill barrels on, etc, etc...

Well, here's my priest. Painted him back when I was 17, touched him up a bit a year ago.  Still needs his bolt pistol drilled.
