You know you're a Dark Angel when......

I've seen this thread running in the Black Templar forum and some of the replies have been awesome. I'm sensing a real lack of brotherhood in the Dark Angels forums (yeah we might understand it's a game and they're model soldiers, but how many of us DON'T feel like a Dark Angel?). I consider all Unforgiven players to be my brothers so with that in mind, here goes:

You know you're a Dark Angel when:

You try dressing your two year old daughter in a cream robe so you've got your very own Watcher in the Dark.

You look over your shoulder to make sure no one is watching while you peruse the Chaos models on display at your local GW.

Feel free to add your own, brothers!

You know you are a Dark Angel if you have a symbol of the Unforgiven tattooed on you.

(Deathwing for me)

Kudos to you! I wanted to go for the Chapter Badge on my left arm but my wife 'assured' me it was a very bad idea :) She scares me more than any Interrogator Chaplain anyday lol

You know you're a Dark Angel when....

After attacking your fellow Imperial brothers in the Ophidium Gulf, your Interrogator-Chaplains spend years working on them and finally you get out of them the idea for this thread....

:)

:P

Wouldn't work, dude. These are Templars we are talking about. Sons of Dorn. A bit too stubborn to fold under such mild pressure as interrogation. Besides, why interrogate if you can ask nicely?

One for my Templar brethren: You know you are a Dark Angel when...you are not His symbol, you wear His symbol. :D

And now I shall add something somewhat constructive in the spirit with which this thread was intended:

...when you have garden gnomes with custom-made little robes.

...when the black ones go fasta.

...when people think that your chapter only consists of two companies.

...when you are the chapter who developed a specific vehicle, and then are the only ones who can't field it.

You know you're a Dark Angel when:

- Suddenly your hooded bath robe is no longer a Jedi Cloak, but a Inner Circle Veterans robe...

-You Mutter under your breath when painting, and jump at small noises. Something about 'We must repaint'.

- You scowl when looking at the Space Wolves Elites section on GW's website. Why should They have Chapter specific Terminators? We are the ones that have an army dedicated to them... (And No, those old metal ones don't count.)

- You start to wonder whether all the Blood Angel Kits are in fact meant for your chapter, and the codex and all those blood droplets are just there to stop people wining about you getting all the attention. Even if so, that in no way makes up for the loss of Deathwing Terminators.

Keep it going brothers, there's some brilliant responses in here ;)

I'd just like to add, for those who don't know, this is intended as a friendly thread. Light hearted banter between chapters is all good, but i don't want this getting hostile. For the record too, this thread was not stolen from the Black Templars, i requested their permission to use their idea. Besides, we are the first legion.........

...when you turn the missus down in a rawnchy outfit to repaint your armour

safe to say she isn't happy. oh well. new faq, new paint!

Erm... so are you saying you're "Fearless"

[seriously - can we hold back on the more 'adult' content please]

...people look at you funny when you start unloading bone white terminators, particularly those with Storm Shields AND CMLs, heheh.

...the books written about your chapter from Black Library are all pretty bad. (Here's hoping the next one is good!)

...you read about Mortis Dreadnoughts and quietly cry yourself to sleep that night.

...your Venerable Dreadnoughts can't seem to hit as well as others.

...the captain of your First Company lacks an Iron Halo.

...you can't decide whether the captain of your Second Company should ride around on his Jetbike, or in his Land Speeder.

...you chuckle slightly when you hear people say "Imperial Jetbikes don't exist anymore"

...you've won a game because you've had one Fearless terminator model left contesting an objective, despite being surrounded by swarms of foes.

....Every opponent you face says your army is corny because your army consits of termies and land raiders.

.... your army has amazing fluff that it seems no matter how GW tries SW, BT, BA, always "seem" cooler, come one we need more then to be just the guys in the robes.

haha awesome!

You know you're a Dark Angel when...

~you categorize incense under "wargear"

~you always make sure to bring just the right banner for the occasion

~you have a natural command over Jawas

~you can field an army entirely composed of Terminators and yet, somehow, you're still just not cool enough

~you consider a "helping hand" and "liability" to be synonyms

~the most interesting character in your fluff is actually a traitor to your chapter
