Pig Of Sparta
Tidying up my photobucket account I stumbled across these photos of a pair Ultramarines veterans that I painted late last year using a bastardised version of winterdyne's technique, which I thought I'd share with you; http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p456/pigofsparta/DSCF9087.jpghttp://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p456/pigofsparta/DSCF9085.jpg I don't have an airbrush so the armour on these two was painted using drybrushing (which you can kind of tell), followed by line highlighting, but as 'test mini's' go, I think they've come up quite well. These two also allowed me to practice some freehand as I figured that as veterans their heraldry would be slightly different. I also wanted to incorporate elements of old school Ultramarines goodness in the shape of the red stormbolter casings and the hazard stripes on the left arm, although these were placed on the besegaw as I didn't fancy painting the whole powerfist with them. Comments or criticism are welcome, thanks James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/220514-ultramarines-terminators/ Share on other sites
