Night Hunter,

You do realize it is people like you who keep people like me from posting my army right... ?

Your stuff is amazing!!

I am really blown away by the detail and care. It is inspirational. I am commited to a foot slogging/Drop Pod Wolf force, so luckily I do not have to even attempt to emulate you. But as a old US Cavalry officer your stuff look exactly like what I use to see in the field. It really catches the little details and every day stuff that go on. The hand shake, the tech marines working together, this is really what happens between soldiers/marines regardless of the equipment they are standing around.

Now maybe I missed it but have you painted that converted standard? It looked awesome built and would like to see it finished.

Regardless keep it up and thank you for sharing.

reckoning34: Cheers Brother!

Veteran Sergeant: Many thanks mate, pleased with the model but brother Rottimus came up with the design so all credit to him!

Biohazard: Too kind, looking forward to some further work on your chaos flyer as well!

Anaraion: I am honoured Brother!!! On the non posting thing, just do it, I found that nothing makes you raise your game like knowing that people will give their honest opinion in a consequence freeish environment  So let's see some of those Wolves!!

Glad to hear that the "In the Field" look is coming through on the diorama, makes me feel better about not rushing it for GD this year!

On the banner, not painted yet, sadly that may be some time coming as still working on some more marines first.....

Thus onto the sharing:

Finally got the second autocannon installed in the righthand wing root and have worked in most of the "sunk rivots" on the fuselage. Teeny bit of greenstuff and on to painting!

Cheers all!

At first I really didn't like the colour scheme (even though it is very well done and I applaud you for having the patience to do it on all the models) but as I read through the thread it grew on me more and more till I ended up thinking it looked awesome. To me the army has a real military feel to it, kind of a blend between the IG and the marines which is pretty cool.

Loving the conversions as well espicially the A-10. It really does look like a 40k version of it.

The display board modesl are awesome as well and really feel fluid with their interactions and I can't wait to see it painted up.

Cheers

James

JamesG89: Cheers brother, glad it grew on you! Also delighted that you get the military feel from the army, this really is exactly what I am going for!!

Yeah the A-10, thank brother Rottimus for the design but it sure looks good!

Regards the display board it is looking at me from my desk, unfinished, but we keep plugging away at it!

And now back to the current distraction, first paint on the old Hog!

Really liking how the paint looks, still undecided on whether or not to paint the front of the Storm raven intake yellow, oh decisions decisions!

FTE

Biohazard: Thanks mate! Think you may be right in the intake as well, concerned there will then be a line of yellow there but will give it a go and see!

Dearth Potato: Far too kind brother! And agreed, the original looks a little, well, pants!

Shusen: cheers mate and I know right, actually some interesting scheme in use by the axis forces as well!

1000Heathens: I know mate! But due to the bulges and intakes the teeth woukd be a nightmare! But thanks very much mate much appreciated!

Will Hopefully get the rest of the colours blocked in this evening, until then,

Cheers all

Seriously good work. I love that you incorporated the hexes into a camo pattern.

Love the crisp yellow too. I think it would look like on the intake. Go for it!

As for the teeth...it's not something I would dare to do.

But I'd love to see someone else try it... :)

Ha cheers guys! Had another look at the teeth situation and there, sadly is no way they are getting on this nose ^_^

Also ran up the intake in yellow, not convinced to be honest, but will sleep on it, all thoughts appreciated!

I think the yellow intake actually makes the rear of the aircraft look wider. It looks good mate, I see what you were meaning about the line of yellow right across but like I say to me it looks good. ;) another option to break up the yellow is maybe some hazard stripes or chevrons in that area?
