Poison weapons and high S

If you are attacking with a poison weapon +4 and you would normaly wound on as +3 or a +2 because of a higher S vs T, do you still only wound on a 4+?

Examples are trevigons and trygons with toxic sacks, brood lords and genstealers with toxic sacks and adrenaline glands, grotesque with scizorhands.

Ash Darke is correct, which makes the taking of toxin sacs or army equivalent pointless on anything S6 and above, as you're normally wounding on 2+ anyway. Remember though that the re-rolls are good if you get them, and that statistically you'll cause more wounds on a 4+ with re-rolls than a straight 3+, 75% of hits compared to 66%.
yes poison overwrites their strength against models with a toughness value. However as previously stated, in close combat if your strength value is equal to or higher than the enemies toughness, you may reroll your to wound with poisened attacks. This is especialy valuable to models with rending as it greatly increased their chance to rend (50% more rending results statisticly)
