This is more of a reply to another thread about if people are happy with the current sculpts that a few people wanted to corner me into describing what I thought would look cool. So, after being baited into a conversion for an HQ.. here's to you Brother Weasel, bevulf, and Chapter Master Ignis Domus :P

 

Actually someone asked me how I did a conversion a long time ago, so I took all these pics as a "how to" more than anything. I should be done in a week or so...

Well so far the conversion work looks top notch. However, I have to say, I really hate those wings. They look way too... flabby?

I was going for wing size that is big enough it may actually be able to lift a marine and they needed to be blood angel'ish... Most of all I needed something on hand. The greater demon of change wings fit what I was looking for nicely.
