Heres my latest paintjobs. No golden daemons here but im happy with them as Im primarily a gamer/modeler. Someday I may come back and finish off some more details once the whole army is finally painted up (noticed the crux on the knee and skull on the helmet. They've been fixed since these pics were taken). Anyway I present...

Sorry about the pics my camera has been down so ive been using my cell phone camera. The yellow is supposed to represent gold. It looks better in person although a few more comments like that may convince me to change it :) I am trying something new with this army by using a fairly limited pallet, no drybrushing, and no metallic paints of any sort. So far ive really liked the effect, although I havent used the yellow very much at all. Any suggestions on how to better accomplish this without resorting to metallic paints would be appreciated. Edti: is the yellow really that bad? I dont really like the traditional green (heresy i know) but am open to suggestions.
Well if it's supposed to be gold, it looks flat. It has the right sahde for NMM but really is needs gradual layers to get it to look more... goldish. I think a gradual shade to yellow extreme highlights would probably solve the issue and make the models look really good :)

Boltman does a pretty comprehensive tutorial here for his magmatrix. Its a bit older in terms of how NMM has evolved but its definitely got the concept and colour palette for you.

Otherwise just check out the coolminiornot forums. Theres a heap of tutorials there, some more comprehensive than others but still useful for ideas and colours (and pictures generally).
