Zacharius
I'm thinking of getting Seth in the near future, but I have a thing about marines not wearing helmets. (In that I don't like it). I was just wondering if Seth's model comes with the head attached to the body, or is it a seperate piece? It'll make my decision easier as to whether I do a simple head swap, or make a counts-as model instead. Tamwulf
His head is attached. Sorry. But he has a really skinny neck if that means anything. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/220943-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2638512 Share on other sites
Tabgoi
If you have a dremel its not that big of a deal to take care of a little metal head. Take a jeweler's saw and cut it at the base, or a pair of snips for that matter. Lock him in a vise and take a grind wheel to flatten the top more or less. Then both dremels I have came with a rounded cone grind bit that you could center on the neck and make a mount for the head. It would probably take less then five minutes to do all told. Pop in any head you want. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/220943-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2638518 Share on other sites
Zacharius
Alas, I don't have a dremel, or know anyone who does. Oh well, I'm sure I'll figure something out. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/220943-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2638521 Share on other sites
SamaNagol
For converting metal figures, a dremmel is as close to essential tools as you can get Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/220943-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2638743 Share on other sites
Volchek
I converted/scratch built a Seth. I hate metal minis for 2 reasons: Cost and hard to convert without tools like Dremels. I used the following: Assault Marine legs Blood Angels torso (DC or SG chest) DC Thunderhammer arms DC backpack with the spiked halo Chaos chainsword bald SM sgt head (simply replace this with a helm from the DC or SG kit that suits you) Cut the thunderhammer head off and replace with the Chaos chainsword, creating a 2 handed chainsword with fully exposed chain teeth. If you assemble the model using Seth as a guide, there is a set of both DC legs and Assault Marine legs that are very close to the pose of Seth's legs.
