Mortifis
Everything you need to build your very own Rifleman. Dreadnought body of choice, Missile Launcher and Hurricane Bolter arms, and one Aegis Defence Turret (for the autocannons). I recommend using a jeweller's or modelling saw to remove the ACs from their mounts. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Cauldron__born/SL370512.jpg In this photo I forgot to include the front mount from the Hurricane Bolter arm, which is magically attached in the next photo. A small amount of plasticard or spare plastic would be ideal for filling in the gap in the middle for the AC to mount directly on. Easy as pie. With additional plastic shavings for flavour. Using the saw, cut along the grooves where the Aegis ammo boxes would be mounted. File until neat, rinse and repeat. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Cauldron__born/SL370513.jpg And some shots of him assembled finally: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Cauldron__born/SL370515.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Cauldron__born/SL370514.jpg The last thing that transport or light skimmer is going to see: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Cauldron__born/SL370517.jpg [Edit]Updated sub-title[/Edit] Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221059-rifleman/ Share on other sites

Mortifis
Striking while the Iron was hot: I managed to get the second one finished. Salvaged from the depths of space; filed, straightened and fixed up. Same treatment for the guns as the first one. Twins. Not identical, but twins all the same :P http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Cauldron__born/SL370519.jpg You mess with me, you mess with him too: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v347/Cauldron__born/SL370520.jpg Ack-ack duties. cathar the great
You should submit this to the Moddeling Tutorials in the Librarium! It's a very straight-forward tutorial, but those are often the best! subtlebrush
I can just imagine the dread making its way across the middle of the battlefield just laying into the approaching enemy, the barrels red hot from all the crazy amounts of shells it can launch leaving a trail of ammo mounds in its wake. Awesome and simple conversion. Perhaps I will add one of these behemoths to my upcoming Loyalist army  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221059-rifleman/#findComment-2666200 Share on other sites

shortysl
These conversions are awesome but i'm assuming they've come about because the options aren't available in the Dreadnought kit? All of my Dreads are the old metal ones but i'll be purchasing the plastic kits in the future and i was hoping to build me a Mortis pattern Dreadnought. I don't have the time or the money for conversions though so i might have to rethink my army list slightly.
