Siege40k
Hey all, here is my converted sternguard sgt. I have been floundering to decide on a chapter. I do like a bunch from the codex but one I was always curious about was the Nightwatch, but can't find much about them aside from: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=200435 Which is user created. Any help would be appreciate. Me and two of my friends will be building forces as we play an escalation campaign and I need some help with color schemes. I would be up for anything aside from Imperial Fists/Iron Hands/White Scars. I like the primogenitors, but not sure what to pick! I can paint pretty much any color, white is my least favorite. But I am just looking for inspiration! SGT: http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad15/Siege40k/WP_000048.jpg http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad15/Siege40k/WP_000047.jpg http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad15/Siege40k/WP_000050.jpg http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad15/Siege40k/WP_000056.jpg And a Vanguard or Honor guard model: http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad15/Siege40k/WP_000045.jpg Thanks in advance, and I would be willing to make a model in honor of the user who's color scheme I chose! I love to kit bash and convert as well as paint but I have been stuck, so I will bribe people for help as much as I can! (My g/f can bake amazing cookies!!) Painted one is not quite done, the gun and a bit more work on the lighting stuff. What do you guys think? verpine
Hawk lords? I think they'd look good in purple... or salamanders/mentors/something green? hawk lords: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Hawk_Lords edit: meant aurora, not mentors. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Aurora_Chapter Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221127-sternguard-sgt-conversion/#findComment-2640773 Share on other sites
Grizzly Adams
raven guard are always sweet, are you gonna be playing them out of C:SM? You could always make up your own chapter, seems like bits wise you are pullin little pieces from everywhere, quite a blend but it looks good. May just wanna do some test models, find a scheme you like, and make your own chapter Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221127-sternguard-sgt-conversion/#findComment-2640856 Share on other sites
Janitor101
Do you want official or DIY chapters? You haven't specified. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221127-sternguard-sgt-conversion/#findComment-2640878 Share on other sites
Chaplain Hiltraud
I don't particulary like that head on the serg - kind of a miss match seeing as there are no other robes on him. But I do like the next model, I was thinking of doing something similar with that BA sword arm. ;) I Read a little bit about the 'Nightwatch' chapter in your link and I wasn't really sold on the idea.. But; Why no create your own DIY Chapter? And maybe you could borrow some of the fluff about the Nightwatch? And make up some of your own>? Hmmmmmmmmmm, you could call them <BLOOD FALCONS> that was the first name that came from the chapter name generator. It's also a name that you could use for C:SM or C:BA. Seeing as you already have some blood drops on the armour and such, there's no need for any filing.... As for colour schemes - This is what I came up with. The armour is scab red, the helm and shoulder pad trim is catachan green and the inserts are black ^_^ There you go, hope that helps! fivepointedstar
what about the Kabuki Warrior's since your sternguard has a hood, and a skull with fangs on it on his shoulder pad. And the blood, and skull would match for a more demonic warrior hunter look I got the impression of this image, . like this mask http://cdn1.iofferphoto.com/img/item/149/6...iomyAkvXU5L.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221127-sternguard-sgt-conversion/#findComment-2640943 Share on other sites

Siege40k
I have both C:SM and C:BA available. I would love to use the BA rules, but I am game for anything really. I thought the head looked good with the sgt model but I can always switch it. I want to use osl (I think that is what it's called) for a lot of stuff on the army.
