White Foundation paint?

My question is:

Is there any white GW paint that has the same thick pigment as the Foundation paints.

 

I looked at the Hobby Starter Set

There you get some Foundation paints (Mordian Blue, Mechrite Red, etc)

Then there is a Gunmetal, Undercoat Black and White

 

So, is this 'White' somewhat like a Foundation paint?

There is no White foundation paint that I'm aware of. But I have found that one of the grey foundation paints will work really well as a basecoat to paint white on, I believe I used Astronomican Grey. Though Dheneb Stone might work well also.

There is a White Foundation paint but it is only available in the Hobby Starter Set and its sorta meh. It works like a foundation but it feels different to me.

Vallejo do a 'foundation white'. It's good, but a bit thick.

Though I use Chaos Black as a undercoat, I just want white for details...

Use grey and work layer it up to white if you're using a black basecoat.

VMC 002 (70919) 'Foundation White'. Remember to thin it, it really needs it. But without doubt the best covering white I've used.

 

This said, for most purposes, it's better to work a grey to white highlight than paint white. I only use this white (thinned) when finalising freehand really.

 

Edit: But it touches up a white primer layer very nicely too. :-)

When I need to paint stuff white, I've found that a base of Dheneb Stone and then a layer of 1:1 Dheneb Stone and Skull White works great.
