Captain Juan Juarez
Culture =/= funny names. I don't see funny names, I see names that would fit the type of culture I envisage. And happily, as this has a basis in the established.. This will be going in. Heru
You can always make them dual names, like the Executioners and their Death Speakers / Chaplains. Ecritter
Just wanted to remind you, in case you didn't know, the White Scars don't believe in using Dreads. Not sure if that's a problem for you or not. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221373-a-final-stand/page/4/#findComment-2649610 Share on other sites

Not sure if that's a problem for you or not. Well these guys do it, but only in very special cases... Dreadnaughts are called "the Unchained" and are both loved and hated for what they represent - more on this later  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221373-a-final-stand/page/4/#findComment-2649820 Share on other sites

Grey Hunter Ydalir
For some reason I thought you said you had special pants for them, which I thought was a little strange. Any news on a more detailed outline incoming CJJ? As an aside, I like the 'unchained', I think I see where you're going with that and I very much like it. Without going to in-depth - ruin the later surprise - it ties in with the Life Chain belief. EDIT: A detailed outline will be forthcoming, but I'm reluctant because I don't have a name for them yet. Dosjetka
Intra-Chapter competition - Warbands vie for the right to answer a call for help; brothers duelling to demand the right to answer these calls. To build on this, this could even be extended for the right to pick the best "squires". I quite like this. But how do you win? Maybe you could do something like the Iron Snakes? All the battle-ready squads throw a piece of ceramic with their rune/whtatever on them into a cup and the Chapter Master takes a certain number and only those go to war? You may not want to take the idea as it is but food for thought is always good :) Ludovic Edit: EDIT: A detailed outline will be forthcoming, but I'm reluctant because I don't have a name for them yet. Any ideas about this though or nothing at all? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221373-a-final-stand/page/4/#findComment-2651321 Share on other sites

Dosjetka
I do also like the idea of each warband being drawn from a certain area and bringing with it a predeliction for a certain style of combat - seafarers = ship-to-ship, riders = bikes... - but this might be needlessly complicated. Hum... I don't think that it adds that much to the character... but that's just me :) There is now an outline up, as it goes.. "IA: ?" (too lazy to link it :P) Still no idea for a name though. Oops, didn't see :) Ludovic Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221373-a-final-stand/page/4/#findComment-2651330 Share on other sites
