Thanks for your kind comments!

Didnt do anything to the tail length wise, it sits on the rear plate just as it would in the original model. So only the hull is longer.

EDIT: in case you mean the raised area from the tail to the main hull then yes, I used the raised middle thing from the Valkyrie set, the part that goes between the engines and broke it in a couple of pieces.

The Red X was very easy to do, simply sprayed it black, used two rows of masking tape once it was dry and painted the red GW foundation between the two tape lines. :D

Think the other Ravens look great!!! only think I dont like is when the turret weapons lie on their side... Is it to make the lower or is it hard to mount the upright? Seen it on a lot of conversions in her. :)

Awesome, i was wantin to put some big red X's on mine as well, and was tryin to figure out how to go about it. Thanks for the info!

Red Fury:

I really like what you've done with the tail fin in the back. It's so simple but it really works pretty well. Bravo. You've also managed to do the most accurate job I've seen yet in re-creating my photoshopped chop job of the nose. I'm glad to see it looks good in real life!!

I'm really getting jealous of all of you who already have yours assembled and painted. I had some unexpected expenses come up so I had to put my own purchase on hold until just recently. But my order is in the mail now so I look forward to joining your ranks soon! :D

Thanks for the kind remarks guys. I haven't made a tutorial exactly, but I did take quite a few WIP pictures. I haven't loaded them up here yet except for a couple from just before painting the base coat. They show a couple of different views and options like the Hbolters and Typhoon Launchers:

(Hmm, I was going to post a couple of pics but they are so large that I'll just give you a link to my gallery instead. I'll try to put up some more pictures in there tonight and also when I get more done)

@Brother Xeones, thanks for making that photoshop picture of the raven! It looked so much better than the original that I tried to copy it as close as possible and I'm very happy with the way it looks now.

The one thing that really baffles me with this kit is the air intake that goes on the top of the fuselage. I'm still going to use the full turret as it reminds me of turret gunners on B-17's and B-25's but the to me the only purpose of the intake is to hide the joint of the tail cone to the fuselage and prevent the upper turret having a full 360' fire arc.

Here is the Flickr-folder of mine (Plenty of pics):

My Raven can actually transport the Dreadnought.

Show me a better way to attach the Dread that doesn´t involve major conversion work. ^^ And its not dangling by its feet. :P It is properly stowed away. :)

if im not mistaken, the dread is actually supposed to go inside. There is an area where he stands modelled inside and everything.

I think he looks best riding on top! ;) Just need to rig a bull rope to hold onto. :)
