Chaos Galore

Noctus Cornix

Recommended Posts

Eyes without sight.....

Maggot filled corpses.....

Mountains of skulls that ascend into heaven....

Scraps of red flesh that is splayed all around....

These are a few of my favorite things.....

Crucified bodies.....

Hearts that aren't beating.....

Killing and burning then maiming the bodies.....

Butchering all from the young to the old....

These are a few of my favorite things.....

Cut them deep....

Bleed them dry.....

And then Hang them high.....

I simply remember my favorite things.....

And then I wont feel.....

So sad......

Well gentlemen, it's been a while since I last presented you guys my models, and I like to think that my modeling skills have progressed.... Can't say the same for my painting though.... ;)

So this will be a permanent blog for all things chaos I model and *twitch* paint... A majority of my models will be My Blood crazed, terror addicted Night Lords and their twisted chaos gifts, but I have also started a new side project. Drum roll please. *insert sound effect* The PUNISHERS!

Wow lookin' great! I really like the Rubric marine, but I think the Powerfist guy could do with a bit of cleaning up on his ribs, just file away the bits and bobs sticking out?

Anyway, really looking forward to seeing more! And will there be any background created for Ze Punishers?

tons

and yeah, thanks for the tip. I was thinking of going back and cleaning up the ribs but I never really noticed all the issues until you pointed it out.

P.S. ALL of these models, at the current moment, are still very WIP.

Everything is looking pretty good thus far. The Plague Marine looks fine (blind, but fine). The thing is, PMs are sort of the "easy mode" for GS work, seeing as they're largely blobs and smears (this coming from a man who fears GS like it bites). The real awesomesauce comes in with the painting on those ugly buggers  .

Hmmm.... I see. That does make sense, I suppose. I guess I will actually have to start painting then.... ;)

The paint scheme Im looking for with them is a stripped metal armour almost completely rusted over with the flesh areas coming off as a pale fleshy bloody mess. No green or any of that other silly stuff.

Alright, time for a quick update for you guys.

I have now completed the Aspiring Sorcerer for my Rubric Marine squad and I have to say I'm very proud of the way he came out.

and we also have my first Punisher Terminator complete.

I'm not really a fan of the twin nozzle heavy flamer. I think it's rather silly looking so I decided to give it a bit of an update.

Aw man the Rubric leader is absolutely wicked cool. And the single-nozzle flamer looks good too.

The thing about the Plague Marine is that I see too many people who just put blobs of greenstuff on and it tends to knock the whole marine out of proportion with huge blisters and wounds that would totally topple the guy over. Although it might just be a personal preference, I like subtle GS work to make Plague Marines; it doesnt look as over the top. That being said, it's your army and how you do it is your choice :)

firestorm: Thanks man, but they're not Thousand Sons. They're Night Lords. I wanted to think of a way I could use rubric marines in my army without going for those retarded egyptian marines. So I was flipping through old codexes for inspiration and sure enough, I found it on the two pages on Prelicitor and his retinue. One of the marine's there has his head wreathed in fire, spitting out inferno bolts from his furnace of a bolter and this is what I made of it. :)

So, as promised here's a wee bit of an update.

Let's be honest. What kind of Night Lord army would you have without atleast a small squad of Raptors.

That being said, I can't stand the current metal models for some reason. Don't ask me why. It's probably because there's no customization available.

So anyway, here are my first two plastic raptor WIP. Hope you like them.

First one up is one I'm very happy with. The only major issue I have is I cant figure out what I'm going to use as a head...

Also up is the champion of the squad. He's not totally done and I keep feeling there's something missing but he's fine for now.

Wow I have to say I love the Rubric Marines the most. Imagine a whole army of those! Consider idea stolen and filed away for after Sons of Malice project :)

Haha, thanks. But shouldn't you atleast ask before you use my idea? I'm all for it but it would atleast be nice to be asked. :)

Something to consider about the missing head. I think either one of these or one of the cybernetic heads from the Bionic Bits set would look snazzy on a Raptor.

Also, maybe it's the feet, but I do get the idea there's something missing from them. Maybe green stuffing some talons will help correct that?

Sure, I realise that, but I meant in terms of 'counts-as'; I have some 'not' Thousand Sons in my Chaos army, 'The Brotherhood of All-Sight' - they're Thousands Sons in rules only ;)
