I've been searching for an alternate method to represent Rubric Marines and I must say I love yours and Danthedaemons. So I must ask if I can "borrow" the idea. I decided to make a heavy bolter marine.... Don't ask me why, I don't know... I really don't... But I made him, and I like him. Despite my up and downs with the lack of terror tactics in the novel, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and came to grow a begrudging respect for Talos. I looked back at my old model of him and thought it just didn't do the ol' lad justice. Maybe sticking to the tool a bit too much, I like it in some places but sometimes its unnecessary or overdone (the sticking part) the overall GS is good! Maybe replace them with some plastic rod, or a drop of glue to get more of a uniform size? As for the raptor on the first page (the one without the head) maybe bent forward abit more? He looks a little unbalanced (too far backwards) on the base thingie. Other then that, some very nicely executed stuff. So lets see some paint! Yeah.... don't know why, guess I had january on the brain.... :) I ordered a fw mk5, mk3, and mk4 box set along with a khorne berzerker upgrade sprew just this afternoon. I have no idea when it's coming in so.... yeah it might be a while. I'll probably replace the Talos helmet when I get it but until then, that helmet will do. The heavy bolter originated from the devestator sprue heavy bolter. I cleaned it up until it was just the gun, gave it a belt feed and fixed it up so it was usable for a standard marine then just added in the screaming skull for effect. He is very gross, and I mean that in the most positive way. The pose on the Raptors posted on the previous page is great, too. I like how the one is hunkered over a victim. Great stuff! I hope that my own GS skills can move forward. I keep trying, but keep getting the same blob of finger print riddled garbage every time I try to do any independent parts.
