How far did the Warrior Lodges spread?

Ok here are some issues me and a few others discussed around the Warrior Lodges which has wracked our brains.

First things first now what do people think to the Chaplains being dispatched amongst the Legions to set up lodges. Did they bother with all of them?

Also being a bit more specific what about Lodges in the Loyalist Legions. Perhaps they were placed in all Legions and we just are not aware. Certainly (Space Wolves, White Scars & Salamanders) seem like a good place to have a lodge, but would there very beliefs make a lodge pointless?

Finally the lodges brought corruption to the Legion and helped with the fall to Chaos. Yet these Lodges could not sway every member of a Legion as a lot of Legions seem to have had purges, now my question is what do people think to the idea of those within the Loyalist Legions siding with Horus or feeling sympathetic to him.

Like to know what you all think to this?

My first impression is that the Legions that would have resisted the warrior lodges the best are those that already had in place a strong social structure from their adopted homeworlds. Dark Angels and Imperial fists with their Knightly orders, Iron Hands, Space Wolves and White Scars with their clans etc.
No, but the leaders of those lodges slowly implanted suspicions about the Emperor's plans into the brains of those who were there, and made Horus instead look like the saviour of humanity, which in turn made it easier to turn them out of the Emperor's light and make them side with Horus.

Judging from The First Heretc, I would say they only targeted specific Legions like the Luna Wolves, Death Guard, Emperor`s Children and Iron Warriors. AFAIK these were the only Legions with lodges, so I think the Word Bearers knew in advance that some Legions wouldnt turn so they didnt bother trying with these Legions.

As for your other question; the Loyalists amongst the Traitor Legions were torn between loyalty to their Primarch and to the Big E. It wasnt so much "join Horus or stay loyal" for the Astartes, it was "follow your Primarch or stay loyal". So with this in mind, the Loyal Astartes really dont have any dilemma to begin with.

Completely agreed, however even the Ultramarines have Chaplains which was an organization that the Word Bearers created.

True but there is a difference between what the word bearers and the rest of the legions thought chaplains were for, officially the chaplains looked after the spiritual health of the legions, not in a religious sense but keeping an eye on how the legion was feeling and thinking and relaying this back to their superiors, kinda working like the mournival did for Horus. I imagine them as warrior iterators.

Obviously the Word Bearers chaplains were literally chaplains of faith, originally of the Lectitio Divinitatus and later of Chaos Undevided, but this was kept a secret from the other legions so they woulda needed an excuse for the rank which inadvertantly invented the space marine chaplain as we know them today.
