Lord Captain Sam
I am experimenting with using glazes to pull my highlights together (I am about 20 years behind on technique). Has anyone done a comparison between inks (I have some old GW and Liquitex) and the citadel washes? I've tried some testing, and I'm finding that inks stain the highlights more. However, this is expensive and time-consuming, so I thought I'd see if any painting masters had already done this for me. winterdyne
For glazing, both want thinning appropriately. How much depends on the product, how old it is, and too many other factors. It's a question of practice and experience to make the right judgment on things like that.
