Logan230
Does a wolf guard attached to X pack counts to the mox numbers that pack can have? Im going to assume your refering to getting the second special gun when pack size == 10. if you want to put them in a rhino, then you take NINE grey hunters and ONE Wolf Guard. So no, you do not get the second gun because a Wolf Guard =/= Grey Hunter. If they are walking across the board then you can take a full GH pack and add a Guard, 10 + 1 = 11, now you get the second gun. tycoon
Actualy I only just noticed the part of the 2nd free gun after you mentioned it. So far I was just wondering if the Wolf Guard was like a independent character that joins a unit , or more like a upgrade for one of the pack members, but judging on your answer, its more the independent character. Next question would be if that Guard can leave a pack like heroes can - or does he have to stay with them? stinkenheim
You only add the wolf guard during deployment, so you can have the max squad size (eg 15 bloodclaws) and still attach a wolf guard during deployment. Imagine them being akin to independent characters, only once joined they are unable to leave the unit. It's true that wolf guard do not count as one of the 10 grey hunters needed for the second special weapon, this has been covered in the FAQ, but I don't think it was what you were aiming for. nurglez
its also worth noting that even though wolf guard count as elites, if you attach them to a troop choice, they effectively become a troop, so if they are the only one left out of a grey hunter squad they can still score  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221725-pack-numbers/#findComment-2649241 Share on other sites
