Way1and
Checked the FAQ and read the Codex and the Rule Book until I passed out from over-stimulation of the brain. If I missed this somewhere, take my ale away and give it to some more deserving Blood Claw. At setup, I split up my WGs and assign them to their various packs. Now, as the WG is essentially considered a member of that unit, can I then have an IC join that pack as well? If so, can I do this from the outset or must I deploy and then have the IC join during the movement phase? First person to answer is invited to help me consume the last two elk steaks in my freezer; you gotta bring the beer, though. Oh, and it would help if you are within an hour's drive or so of DFW :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221760-noob-question-593/ Share on other sites

No ale for you Sam I am. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/221760-noob-question-593/#findComment-2649375 Share on other sites

You can almost consider the WG leader to be a purchased asset for each pack, so IC's have no problem coming and going from a WG-led pack. Grey Mage
*nods* WG and ICs are in no way mutually exclusive. Couple things to note though, since they come up frequently: A WG pack leader does not count towards the 10 men you need in a Grey Hunter pack to get the second special weapon. This is because well... hes not part of the unit your purchasing, hes added on right before the game. The Wolf Gaurd doesnt give up a seperate kill point, he is a scoring member of a Grey Hunter or Bloodclaw pack. If hes put in a Long Fang pack then hes a heavy support model, etc. He no longer is a member of the WG pack in any way shape or form. This also means that if all your wolf gaurd go to packs as leaders your enemy doesnt get credit for the destruction of a pack that, for game purposes, doesnt exist.
