I've put these up in the WIP pages with more pictures and details but I thought a cross post here might get some more partisan responses :D

I like the white DC and Sang guard look as something different and will be starting to build and paint some more units probably starting with a Rhino and a tac squad. Any thoughts on a 1750 pts build list? I have a SR on the way but it doesn't have to be in the list I'm just looking forward to building one

That decal (at least I assume it's a decal) looks very striking against the white. And that's a lovely shade of vermillion on your Baal — I'd be interested in hearing your red recipe. The battle-damage is a great touch. It's also interesting to see how the closed hatch looks; mine's built with the little Devastator peeking out of it.

Great job!

That DC marine is SEXY AS HELL!

You have an.. interesting.. definition of "sexy" :)

Pauldrons, power fists, older mark helmet...

I dunno man, that's a lot of curves.

Below is the line I'm not going to cross responding to that...

:)

Thanks for the kind comments :)

Plague Angel the chapter marking is indeed a decal from FW BA set.

Brother-Captain Lucius the white was really straight forward - Chaos black undercoat followed by skull white both out of a can, the chaos black actually gave a slight shading effect to the skull white which needed a couple of thin coats to get it clean. next was thinned Vallejo light grey shading roughly 1:2 paint:water, paint armour joints boltgun, clean up with skull white, wash joints with badab black, again clean up with skull white if needed. Paint details and your done. I left the backpack off until painting was finished this was chaos black with thinned adeptus grey highlights. I didn't go too heavy on weathering just a light glaze of graveyard earth around the feet. I'm thinking he's just leaping out of his transport so not had time to get down and dirty yet ;)

Well it is compared to Heavy Metals 5-6 different colour layers to build up a white PA figure

I will be trying a slightly different mix for the white on the next one by using a grey undercoat - lots of these about army painter, halfords, vallejo (my choice as they do a pre mixed ready to airbrush version in big 60 or 200ml bottles - followed by airbrushed white. I will need to do some list building first though - but a white DC Rhino is very, very tempting...

Not unlike my older black version

LOVE it! i would say the low lights are a bit thick though but low lighting white must be murder.

Not the easiest colour to work with I must admit, and it's pretty much a WIP as far as working out the technique for painting a white PA mini. I'm reasonably happy with the finished figure as I'm aiming at a tabletop finish and not golden demon

Those are some beautifully painted models there mate!

Thanks praise always welcome :)

On slightly different tack here anybody got suggestions for a sarge shoulder pad colours with Angels Encarmine? I'm not sure I can freehand the chapter markings onto a black shoulder pad with any great accuracy...

Great job on everything.

Markings on shoulder pads... have you tried tracing paper? Use a hard pencil on tracing paper. Then place the paper on the shoulder pad while rubbing the back side. It should transfer over. I used that technique in the '90s for Eldar bike canopies and it worked well. Marine shoulder pads may be small, but I don't have any other suggestions.
