biglou666
dont worry, i havent glued the cockpit down, just using gravity to hold it together at the moment. @corby, sadly, if this is the case then I will have to keep this sergeant for friendlies only, but that doesnt really make sense to me! :D Though he is the sergeant, he is the TERMINATOR sergeant, so in my mind he can still take those weapons... Brother Nathan
its the same as the tactical sargent not getting heavy or special weapons bar the ones he is allowed to buy. i wish mate but sadly...chaos termy aspiring champs arnt inclined the same but loyalists are... still think its a lovely model. biglou666
You make an interesting point brother nathan, but again, i would argue against that, as the terminator sergeant is clearly deemed to be a terminator, within his title. The same goes for a tactical squad sergeant, he still has 'space marine' within his title, which i think makes him capable of usuing all equipment like the rest of his squad. though, i wouldnt use heavy weapons on the tactical sergeant, he has nice close combat goodies of his own! ;)
gcsmith
I would assume as they have their own options they cant use the squads?. Makes plenty of sense. :wallbash:
biglou666
ah, but the sergeants having their own options is simply to make certain equipment exclusive to them, not the other way round. Wheras having a tactical squad sergeant with a melta gun is perfectly pheasable, and makes sense, having a 'tactical' squad running around with 10 power weapons doesnt make sense at all! it just wouldnt be a tactical squad! (thats what we have vanguard veterans for! :wallbash:)
gcsmith
ahh but the sergant isnt a standard marines, and the options say 1 marine. not one sergant :wallbash:

gcsmith
But your using incorrect grammer, While Yes he is a terminator, he is a terminator sergant, Since He has a suffix to his title he gains only options available to ones with the suffix :wallbash:. And In my defense ill qoute previous encounters, Jump Pack servitors. Lib Dread with frag. a single model with cml and hf. Either way id still let u use it against me in friendly but in compatative u have a problem with some oponents
Valkyrion
I'd be fine with it. There's no advantage gained or lost by putting the heavy flamer on a sergeant. Same statline, same rules. RAW, and RAI is a no go, no matter how you try to spin it. Rules is rules. But it wouldn't bother me.

Quixus
I'd be fine with it. There's no advantage gained or lost by putting the heavy flamer on a sergeant. Same statline, same rules.Just less options for wound allocation.
