LoneSniperSG
I've got a small GK strike force that I plan to use alongside my Space Wolves and IG, especially when facing Eldar. It's no large force. Five PA Knights and one in TDA, who stands as their leader. (One day I hope to have a few more, but I figure they're enough for now). Either way. I want to make sure the Brother-Captain has his share of bite. I had to trade off his Stormbolter arm to a friend (He got 10 GK Terms and had too many special weapons) and got an Incinerator in return. Is this weapon sufficient for what he does, or should I convert a Psycannon? Is it also fine to leave his Nemesis weapon, or are there superior melee weapons to be had? DarKHaZZ13
Do neither and get an Inquisitor! :P Nah but on a serious note I'd probabaly keep the NFW (they are pretty good after all) and either have a sotrm bolter or a psycannon... incinerators are pretty sweet buy PC's are just better. and you can't go wrong with GK's and SB's (true grit = counts as a CCW in CC ;)) +on a side note, I wouldn't put too much emphasis on your GK side project....theres a new codex comming out for them in April. LoneSniperSG
I haven't been. I've been busying myself with painting them. At the moment I'm trying to track down a specific model I wanted as my Inquisitor. chaplainmeliadus
Models in Termy armour don't (currently) get true grit, PA only I'm afraid. I recommend keeping the NFW. It' included in your points cost so replacing it is really throwing points away, and it is a WS5 S6 Force weapon which, thanks to the age of our codex, it actually ignores Eternal Warrior. None of the other weapons seem good enough to me to justify losing that. I give mine a PC, Icon of the Just and the Imperial Tarot, as a full load-out. LoneSniperSG
How about Sisters of Battle? I should have asked about them to start with, since I have a similarly small force of them as well. Sisters are set up as follows: Canoness - Book of St. Lucius, Blessed weapon, Bolt Pistol, Purity Seals, grenades. Sisters x9 - Flamer, Stormbolter, Imagifier, Veteran Superior (Trying to get a model to replace the stormbolter with a melta). Rhino Transport. Canoness rolls with these ladies. Retributors x6: Multi-meltax2, Heavy Bolterx2, Veteran Superior, Immolator transport (Multi-meltas) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/222146-how-do-you-equip-your-leader/#findComment-2658174 Share on other sites
Valerian
I haven't been. I've been busying myself with painting them. At the moment I'm trying to track down a specific model I wanted as my Inquisitor. To be honest, any advice given now will be irrelevant in about 6-7 weeks. Check out the Grey Knight rumor thread to get an idea about upcoming Grand Master/Brother-Captain options. My old Grey Knight commander was the old Stern model, with Storm Bolter swapped out for a Psycannon; according to rumors that option will still be available, so I don't plan on changing anything, although I might be sacrificing an attack in close combat. Valerian Does that really matter? Knowing my paycheck, I won't be able to get the new book for a while. If it's really a concern then let's just stick with my Sisters for now, since there's a greater number of them.
