BrotherTim
So I'm not sure why, but this combo just popped into my head. If I ran a Celxus (prob spelled wrong sorry) in conjunction with a Libby that would mean that any non-fearless unit would have to roll less than 3 on two dice or fall back (ld reduced to 7 by Celxus and further reduced 4 by FoD). I know an Inq. would have to fill the other HQ slot, but this is not for a competitive list, just thought it sounded like fun! What do you think? JamesI
Not sure it works. I believe they would end up rolling at a 7, ignoring the reduction from FOTD. ancient god
Fear of the Darkness only takes your LD down by 2 though, so it'd be LD 5. FOTD is great without mixing and matching codex books from different editions, though. Always costs my enemies 1 or more squads when they're not fearless. Chairman_woo
Assuming this even works (which is in doubt) I suspect this is exactly the type of thing that caused GW to rescend the allies rules in the 1st place. Mind you nids had psy-choir in 4th which was pretty unreasonable vs the average unit in basically the same way (cumulative -to LD) but is/was bloody useless against anything fearless or stubborn. The same might well apply here i.e. fearless and stubborn make this a bit of a waste. SamaNagol
Yes this works, no it isn't that effective. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/222247-too-much-cheese/#findComment-2656857 Share on other sites
