captain sox
Just a quick question for all of you. I'm in the process of building my 'Raven, and I was wondering if any of you will/have painted the interior of yours. For the most part, I have painted the interiors of my vehicles, but then I found the process to be, for the most part a waste of time (due to having to glue the doors shut, etc). How about you? Paint or not?
Rinion
I'd planned on painting mine, since you dont HAVE to glue the doors on, least with things like the Rhino doors/hatches. The Raven, i'm not so sure about visibility when the hull is together, but i'll be doing it anyway.

Zeller
I'd paint the interior since the hatches opening and closing are literally selling points for me. They just look too cool on an aircraft. Meanwhile in rhino land they're all glued.

TheMouth
Its fun to have the guts painted...but wow there is alot of detail...If you are very anal retentive then paint em...sadly I cant NOT paint interiors of vehicles if its there to paint...otherwise glue them shut and go about your day! Since no one is really going to land the model anyway, and you use the base for deployment there really is no reason to have them open.
Parcival
I painted the interior of my Command Rhino just to show I know how to do it when anybody feels the need of delivering stupid remarks. On all other vehicles, the doors are glued shut.

Anarchyman99
I plan on gluing the doors shut so no.....what do you think about drop pods......glue the doors shut yes or no?
evileyevirtue
I glue all of the door shut on all of my vehicles except drop pods. For the most part, gluing the doors shut makes the vehicle more rigid and stable. With the drop pod, the doors are supposed to fly open when it hits dirt, and the weapon is even mounted on the inside. That's not a problem for any other vehicle. In my case, 2 of the pods are dread pods so i don't even glue the interior pieces in.
Commander Sasha
My first Immolator has a pink interior, scatter cushions and a Johnny Depp picture on the cockpit door.. I have a rhino with a pole dancer... If you want your fighters to be at peak efficiency, you really do need to consider their Feng Shui. And a Betty Page picture right by the jump hatch is a must! SnorriSnorrison
I say do it. Even if you painted up Big E himself and put him on the battlefield, the Stormraven will be your centerpiece nonetheless. Here is a picture of the painted interior of my Stormraven, and I hope that it is a motivation for you. ;) http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/ad309/Snorrinorrison/WIP/BILD0661.jpg Snorri

narius
Nice way to paint the interior is use the Forge World way! (You need an air brush though) Chaos black undercoat, Light coat of Kommando Khaki leaving some black visible then skull white to highlight. I finish off with a stipple using a sponge of charadon granite to imitate boot scuff to the floor. Looks fab!
