Baal Predators

Sorry if this has been asked before, but searching for "Baal Predator" comes up with a LOT of posts...

Is there an common/optimal loadout for a Baal Predator? I imagine the Heavy Bolter sponsons are a popular choice since you're only likely to be able to use one of the two sponsons if you take the heavy flamers, but what about the main gun? I can see advantages/disadvantages in both the Flamestorm Cannon and Assault Cannons.

Baal Predator with Assault Cannon has Heavy Bolter Sponsons.

Baal Predator with Flamestorm cannon has (IMO) no sponsons. You need to move more than 6" every turn so the enemy has a 6+ to hit you in assault. Keep it cheap and survivable.

This is how I would run mine. I pretty much always go assault cannon/heavy bolter (have two built like this).

Yeah, I like the dakka build as well. I was an idiot when I built my Baal though, I have two preds ready for weapon swaps and what have you, glued everything on my Baal on. Of course at the time the Flamestorm was not an option, but still no excuse, I have to buy another Baal. I really want to try out the flamestorm in an actual fight. I have had great luck in the past with my assault cannon/heavy bolter recovering far more points then I spend on it. Even before they made it a fast vehicle it was just a great tank.

About the Dozer Blade-

The Dozer Blade sticks out about an inch or so from the front hull of the Pred, and you have to stop at least 1" away from an enemy model. When you fire the Flamestorm cannon and place the template, don't you find that you hit fewer models?

The obvious solution is to turn the Baal Predator sideways, but now you are exposing your side armor to the enemy...

Just curious if this is a problem/issue. Myself, I don't use the Dozer Blades. The handful of times I've rolled a '1' on the Dangerous Terrain test, I've always said "meh. That sucked". ;)
