Brother Martemis
Hey guys, gals, astartes and heretics. Been plugging away at my LPC so this is update one. No pics as yet as the whole digital camera to computer to BnC process seems to be getting held up... :-( However, all models are made and are getting undercoated and painted as we speak.... Will try to post pics later (yes, I'm posting to say that I'll post) the counts as Logan grimnar is made and it's been great to paint again, cos I haven't painted in about 3 years. The wolfguard terminators are made(for the most part- just some extra sentry guns to make for them). And the squad of hunters is made, just barebones, bolters and 2 plasma guns. Have also put together a dreadnougt and five man (sternguard) wolfguard squad with a razorback. (these aren't part of my vow, but are excellent distractions) so all in all by the end of march I should have a gameplaying force - for the first time in years- if only there was a way to post pics directly from my iPhone..... Brother Martemis
hey guys and gals, finally got some pics up, they are from my iphone and i do have morebut here are the ones that give an overview of what i've got so far... okay, so this first one is the 10 man terminator squad and the grey hunters squad, not the best quality i'm araid http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/9484/102kw.jpg and here we are with my counts as logan grimnar, the storm bolter is dorns arrow, still a lot of work to go, obviously http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/2999/181vs.jpg now we have a closer look at the terminators themselves http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/3384/182tv.jpg and here is distraction one - a sternguard (wolfguard) squad http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/7383/179ay.jpg and distraction two - the dreadnought http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/2720/180pa.jpg the grey on the sternguard and terminator was an undercouat i bought, but it wasn't as dark as i hoped, and the arms look more bronze in real life than they do in these pics as ever c and c would be appreciated, gonna use a sky/ice blue for power and plasma weapons and a bit o boltgun metal on the engine parts/hydraulics on the dread and weapon casings will be a matte black (i think) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/222567-my-lpc-proceeds-slowly-but-surely/#findComment-2664813 Share on other sites
Generating Random Name...
Sorry, i'm a bit confused, do you have a digital camera or are these from an Iphone? Can i please suggest that you take your photos from a little bit further (Farther?) away, and also i think a plain (White) piece of A4 paper behind would help. Aside from that, they look good, do you have any particular scheme in mind? Or is it SW? I'm not really up to date on the scheme. That Sternguard/Wolfguard squad looks cool! Brother Martemis
they are, for the purposes of gaming (if the chance ever presents its self) counts as space wolves - i think the Logan wing best represents the way a 1st company should be. for the photo tips, thank you - i am somewhat limited to my Iphone at the moment - either the other half or the children have 'misplaced' the camera and for the colour scheme - i'm looking at a dark grey (almost black) body/legs and bronze arms. with ice blue plasma and power weapons and eye lenses and matte black weapon casings - looking at the colour scheme here seems like shiny Scythes of the Emperor... but the arms look more bronze in real life the wolfguard/sternguard need a little more work before painting - making a combi flamer for the power fist guy and need to work out what to do with the combi plasma dude at the back although, question - what colour is Ork blood? would it be better red or dark green? i'm kinda leaning towards the red, but can't settle on it any ideas? It's hard to tell but I think the front/left guy is pointing, so maybe brandishing combat knife? although, question - what colour is Ork blood? would it be better red or dark green? i'm kinda leaning towards the red, but can't settle on it any ideas? It can be whatever you want it to be ;) I would probably go for red, if you look on the top of the ork's head here: http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m1240069_60030103003_Orkcodexmain_445x319.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/222567-my-lpc-proceeds-slowly-but-surely/#findComment-2665500 Share on other sites

Bloodhowl
although, question - what colour is Ork blood? would it be better red or dark green? i'm kinda leaning towards the red, but can't settle on it any ideas? In the current fluff Ork Blood is red, but it used to be green until 'Eavy Metal changed it. Anatomically speaking it should be green since orks are part fungi. But it is down to personal choice Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/222567-my-lpc-proceeds-slowly-but-surely/#findComment-2665510 Share on other sites
