Paint scheme for forgeworld Mark V minis

Greetings brothers,

After taking a few months off of painting I thought i'd get to work on finishing up my force. I ordered 3 packs of FW heresy era heavy weapons and a squad of Mark V PW.

I kind of see it as a form of heresy to paint my soon to be new wolves in the current light blue that the rest of my army is and i was curious if it would look horribly out of place if i painted them using a Black primer with codex grey basecoat and fortress grey highlights?

The rest of my force is based with White primer, Fenris Grey foundation basecoat with Spacewolf grey armor and white highlights.

Hopefully i'll get the FW minis soon and post some stuff up for your C&C

Edit: Foundation =/= Fountain

the scheme i got given off of wolf lord mjolnir was black basecoat, adeptus battlegrey, 50/50 adeptus battlegrey and codex grey, then highlight with fortress grey and codex grey. I even emptied a pot of chaos black and filled it with 50/50 adeptus battlegrey and codex grey to make it more permanent!

Still need to buy some fortress grey though.

Go to his blog (wolf lord mjolnir), and look at his army. You. Will. Be. Inspired.

That works well, but I'd add a black wash after the coat of battlegrey

Thank you for the recipe brothers. My painting skills aren't the greatest but i shall shoot for a TT quality at minimum due to the cost of FW minis and imo the awesomeness of the Heresy era armour.

To keep my little self in line and ensure i get it done. Once I recieve said minis I shall create an entry in the works in progress section.
