Siege40k
Title pretty much says it all. Let me know what you guys think! I have to finish up his base but that is about it. http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad15/Siege40k/IMAG0007.jpg http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad15/Siege40k/IMAG0006.jpg http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad15/Siege40k/IMAG0005.jpg http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad15/Siege40k/IMAG0004.jpg Sorry about pic quality. Just got my new HTC Insprie and have still not found a good camera app. Any suggestions would be nice! I also still need to highlight the black on the sword now that I look at pictures! Oh well. Off to vegas tomorrow but I hope to have more Sons of Medusa painted up after I get back! High Marshal Sigfeird
Wow even with the colour change you made seth pop indeed, your weathering of his armour is great also simple but very eye catching. My only critique is his pupils, perhaps its the camera but he looks crossed eyed. However this is a great piece you have acheived. Crimson Fisting
Nice paintjob, but I'm curious, why the change to green without changing any of the Fleshtearers iconography? Siege40k
Thanks for such quick replies! @HMS- I have a terrible time with eyes, any advice, i can either get just white or just black. I have tried the tutorials from the 'eavy metal guys but obviously I am not on their level! @Tellos- White undercoat. Really, really, really thinned scorpion green in many, many layers, with some washes of badab black layered in (those were heavily watered down as well) @Crimson- I am using this as a 'test' model. I have a pair of Stormravens, 2 predators, a vindi, and a bunch of marines to paint up, been struggling with a chapter. I play ba and have forever but I hate painting red (weird right). I found a few articles about the sons of Medusa and was like...nice..nice. I am working on how to do their chapter symbol. I will be doing a v2 of Seth (gw messed up and sent me 2 when I ordered) with proper iconography and a cleaned up paint job. Hyaenidae
Introducing a new chapter...The Lumber Jacks! No, seriously, this is a beautiful shade of green, and your weathering and chipping is immaculate. Beautiful, man, great job! Sweet, that'll be cool, haven't seen anyone do a well painted version of the Sons of Medusa before. Nice that you got an extra Seth... Fo' free! Legio Draconis
Looking good, a few clearer pictures would help bring him to life. Crimson fisting, check Grey death for some amazing sons of Medusa. High Marshal Sigfeird
One tip i picked up from GW work was a simple pin head with a small amount of the alloted colour into the centre, this depends on your own steadiness with a brush or for that matter a pin Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/222605-gabriel-seth/#findComment-2662699 Share on other sites
