Mac_Atk
My first of two updates: This is my first go at painting before final assembly, and wow is it nice for all the little bits, litinites, etc. MY vow was quite modest, a new marshal with PoLC and a crusader squad (minimum of 5). I had a half dozen neophytes that need completing and a dozen initiates so I could go pretty far with the remaining time. In the picture, I've base-coated and two colored all 6 models. What you don't see is that I've shortened the flamer to look a bit more like the BA hand-flamers from their new sprues. Basicially I cut out the tubing portion of the flamer and reattached at the body. It looks much better, especially in a one-handed pose. One initiate is converted AoBR to hold a heavy bolter, another has yet to be armed, literally, and my commander is still on pins for ease of painting. With a few more layers of bleached bone/white mix and a couple shades of grey highlights, they'll be ready for the fine details. The pauldrons are started and I'm about to start the washes on the tabbard. Full Gallery Here For the Emperor! For Dorn! For Helbrecht! For the Black Marshal! Brother Mitch
Looking good Brother, can't wait to see them when they are complete. Your colours are sharp and unlike me, you apint within the lines and not like a 5 year old. :P Keep up the good work.
