Pre-heresy Death Guard

Recommended Posts

Putting together a company of my own Death Guard troops. I don't normally have alot of time to work on them and my skills are limited so here goes. Suggestions and input greatly appreciated, biggest problem is getting the decals to transfer over without the paint chipping, looks like they have weathered when I am really not going for that look.

I think they look good. I don't know anything about decals so I can't help you there. However, as they are Death Guard I would totally give them a mad weathered look! But I'm in a bit of a weathered look phase at the moment so you can ignore me

Actually, I'd agree with the weathering, or at least just filth. Even their old IA loyalist pic looked like dirt and corrosion running from the joints and vents on their armour...

I have a workable rust method I use on my Marines Malevolent, if you're interested. Another idea would be a light dusting with some weathering powder would make these guys pop (either MiG or Tamiya).

Other than that, these guys look good man!

There may not be help for me on the decal front. :P If I was to go any slower appling them i'd be going backwards in time. Oh well.

Thanks, Ill definalty be looking more into some weathering then, ill take any advice you got 1000heathens. I am definalty going for the ground pounder look so it would makes since they were less than prestine.

More to follow on the pic front. Thanks again.

Follow the link in my signature, go to page 1 , post # 17 . The mini's in the same WIP will show you the end result too. Tamiya weathering powder is my favorite, but MiG works well too, I've heard. Let me know if you have any other questions, I'll help where I can brother. Good luck on your build!

Very nice, your troops have defiantly seen some time in the field. Local shop didn't have any weathering powder oddly enough so ill have to trek a little more tomorrow and I should have a trial run done before the weekend. Ended up picking up a dreadnought instead since I was there, the old all metal version I have is painted up in Black Templar's colors I don't think ill take the effort to strip down. Thanks for the help.
