Nomus Sardauk
I went into my local GW the other day and noticed that they had a Librarian Dreadnought out on display, but instead of it's Blood Fist it was equipped with a Frag Cannon. When I got home I consulted my Codex on whether this was a legal combination or not but it wasn't that clear. So, long sotyr short, Frag Cannon on a Librarian Dreadnought: Legal or not? Ander00
As per the FAQ, a Furioso Librarian cannot take additional wargear. cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/222675-books-and-boomsticks/#findComment-2662458 Share on other sites
JamesI
Brother Nathan is correct (which is too bad, I'd probably throw a frag cannon on my libby dread if I was able). Brother Nathan
although if you could would you? cause not onl would you loose an attack but would be stuck with a force weapon instead of a dccw, and you would lose your melta/storm bolter(melta wins everytime for me) just to gain the frag cannon which use depends on yur powers i suppose.... Well, Librarian dreads can't have the melta, just the stormbolter. I'd try it out, and if I didn't like it go back to the DCCW. JamesI
cant they? i thought it said trade built in weapons and blood fist but cant find the dex... In the codex it specifically says that Librarian dreads keep the Blood fist with the stormbolter. My libby dread was built with a heavy flamer replacing the stormbolter, until the FAQ made that illegal. JamesI
Yay! Yet another shining example of a GW store missleading potential customers. Perhaps it will be a legal combination in the Grey Knights codex. Zid
Yay! Yet another shining example of a GW store missleading potential customers. Perhaps it will be a legal combination in the Grey Knights codex. Thus far everythings pointing to no libby dreads for the GK... but who knows? Honestly would make more sense than BA seeing as they're, you know, all psykers.... shatter
They're all psykers but have always been a little... limited to specific specialties. To give a DnD reference, it's like their psykers' abilities effectively give each of them a +1/+2vs Daemons sword compared to BA not having magic weapons except for the odd guy with a +3 vorpal. BA are long lived (and therefore suitable dread' pilots) and have a strong flair for psykers. Sanguinious was arguably around first equal with Magnus for the psyker crown of the primarchs.
