Fade to Black

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Recently got back to painting my Black Templars after a three year break.

Stuff to paint/build:

1 techmarine

2 Landspeeders

3 razorbacks/rhinos

1 lascannon dude

5 neophytes

1 PW dude

What I did in the morning:

Their prison, where they wait to be painted.

Some work on the neophytes during the evening. Mainly the chest eagles and shoulder pads.

A close up.

Tell me what you guys think so far.

Thanks for the reply Ussell. I darkened the ammo pouches somewhat. As for the marine helmets, I'm happy they are there. I have no clue how to paint skin, so I just replaced their heads :P

Now, the neophytes are practically done. Just need to finish painting the bases and drilling out their pistols.

The neophyte with the Templar cross on his head took so long. Had to keep sharpening the edges with black, then going over some parts with white. I'm pretty satisfied with the result considering, it was my first successful freehand. Kind of looks like a decal on his head.

I'll probably finish painting the lascannon dude and then move onto painting tanks.
