soots Posted February 21, 2011 Share Posted February 21, 2011 hey so i was wondering which spray is best to pick up? army painters? or gw flamer gun? im restarting gks, and i have a stormraven that i primed with gw's chaos black primer and i was wondering which is the best to use to paint/spray army painters - plate metal silver gw's boltgun/chainmail/mithril if any of you guys have used one or both, what's your experience been with them? Tanhausen Posted February 22, 2011 Share Posted February 22, 2011 Its quite a different tool. The army painter has 1 colour and covers solid. The spray gun you can use for several colours and can MORE OR LESS be used to give some kind of zenital shading once you get the hang of it. My suggestion: get a cheap airbrush for 10 euros (not even dual action) and a simple compressor (for some 50 euros). If possible I'd go for real airbrush (gravity feed, dual action) which you can get for some 30-50 euros. I have all of the mentioned tools (army painter, GW spraygun, simple airbrush and dual action airbrush) and have tested them all ;) Hope it helps!
