Names, names, names...

Well then perhaps "Emperor's Jagerband/Imperial Jagerbands" will work?

In general, if a name can be easily "decoded" or is not frequently used it would be fine. Sadly, the name of the Chapter would be used frequently and isn't particularly simply - although I like to think I can both read and pronounce that name ^_^ - and so it would break the flow of the piece.

How something flows is almost as important as Suspension of Disbelief.

I'm not saying the "Anglicized" version is better, or even works, I was merely making a stylistic point ;)

Well, in the use of Iron and Steel, the German words for these terms are Eisen and Stahl, respectively. So you could have your chapter be the Eisenwehr ('Iron Army') or Stahltigers('steel tigers') or any similar such thing. Another possibility, the "Eisenkreuz," or Iron Cross, was a prominent and thoroughly German symbol of the general era, which has the benefit of being identifiably a Germany reference while also being relatively subtle and, unlike the Swastika, not conjuring up Nazi imagery. There was also a straight-armed variant on the Iron Cross called the Balkankreuz, frequently painted on WWII era German vehicles, which would make a pretty good chapter symbol.

This. I'll probably write the IA, with a generic chapter name as a placeholder, then pick/thieve a name (with help from this thread) that fits the theme "inside out" IA creation, as it were.
