Gentlemanloser
While tinkering around with the rumoured/leaked Dex, fleshing out what to use and what the army will actually look like (and trying to decide whether I really want to spam Purifiers or not!), I thought I'd have a look to see if I really could make an ultra Elite GK list. -_- And I was pleasantly surprised to be able to cobble something together just a smidge over 1,750 points! :) HQ: Draigo HQ: Brotherhood Champion Troop: Paladin x4, Psycannon x2, Apothecary Troop: Paladin x4, Psycannon x2, Apothecary Fast: Stormraven Gunship, TL MM, Warp Sabilisation, Truesilver Fast: Stormraven Gunship, TL MM, Warp Sabilisation, Truesilver Heavy: Nemesis DreadKnight, G Psilencer, H Psycannon Total: 1,800 Can skimp on a few upgrades to reach 1,750, or if you play at 2,000 add a few more in. :( Like Warding Staves for the Apothecaries (to let them use Holocaust, as they have no Ranged Weapon), or the like. This has a double-hard Ranged based Scoring MC for home objectives, and two rock hard scoring units for bringing the pain to your opponent. The SR are to get them there, and to pop any Raiders. Hopefully the NDK and Psycannons will take care of anything smaller. How's that for Elite? 12 Terminators, 2 Skimmers and a MC! :cuss Elite armies, how would you do yours? Vindicatus
Looking at that actually hurt. My main issue with lists like this is lack of target saturation; where we went from being outnumbered 2:1 (usually), now you're looking more like 5:1. Doesn't even matter what the other person's tactics are, you NEED to get up close and personal with the enemy as fast as possible or risk behing shot to death. The problem with that is, typically, when trying to ram home troops to get face to face with someone you need along the lines of 3:1 in your favour to ensure you've got the punch to finish the job once you get there. That aside, if this actually worked..I could see several people with jaw's dropped, or simply picking their models up off the table in pure consternation. In the case of the latter, I'd have the biggest :):-eating grin on my face because finally, YOU are subject to MY cheese, not the other way around. HERO
Not liking the list. Your list begs for bad rolling. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223235-elite-armies/#findComment-2669293 Share on other sites
Dilgar
LOL, I´m actually going to test a similar list, but I´d propoply skip Draigo and do it with a GM or BC, though Draigo being an Eternal Warrior might be kinda cool  I love it!
