Redfinger
It has been years since I have built a display board, I am using pink foam, mounted glued onto thick cork board that is in a frame, it was what I had lying around....anyway I use gorilla glue to mount the foam to the cork and so far no warping, but I want to add my sand for the ground work, and I cant remember what type of glue I used on my last one, I know it wasn't elmers white glue, being mostly water that stuffs warps boards pretty bad, any way what glue do you guys recommend, the board is 10 x 16 and I am on a budget. Red Fury
Weldbond, it's like Elmers on steroids. It will still cause some warping on some materials but you should be good with the foam and board setup. I just get little bottles from my local hardware store for about $4. Boltergeist
I just use wood glue; it's cheap and makes for a stronger bond than white glue. As far as warping goes, if you coat the underside of your project with glue first and let it dry the forces-that-be tend to even out and there is no warping. If you've already glued it down that could be an issue, but if I'm understanding correctly and it's mounted in a frame it shouldn't warp too badly to begin with.
