tiny sam
So the first part of my Vow is complete and published in the Hall of Honor So the other part is started, the "Fully Converted, painted and based" tactical squad. Note that except the easy-glue marine, no one has been painted yet (rescued marines from my old army) so here is what I plan : Shotty part of the squad, The flag Bearer is not the sergent, it's just a herald for the knight (sergeant). The Close Combat part of the squad this is not the best picture I took in my life but my cam is dead so you'll have to be patient for another one. a better pictures of some of the running guys the robed one and an easy conversion for a Bolter and Combat Shield (for the sergeant as you have guessed) Every Comment and/or Critics is more than welcomed Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223364-2011-lpc-vow-progress/ Share on other sites

Generating Random Name...
Looking good, not really much to say except did you GS mold that tactical arrow on the shoulder from AoBR? subtlebrush
Those are some well sculpted robes. I myself haven't worked on robes or clothes in general with GS yet they seem a bit daunting at first.... tiny sam
I don't pretend to be a pro sculptor but I can humbly say that all i know about green stuff I have learned it trough the tutorials section of this board :) the picture pointed me out some imperfection on the cloth I need to fix. and yes I must confess I press mould the tactical arrow from the AoBR (quite usefull in fact) @Phosis: I can't say as I find them in a bits box but considering there are moons and stars on some of them I would say yes they are High elf's  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223364-2011-lpc-vow-progress/#findComment-2671685 Share on other sites
tiny sam
just a Quick Update, I changed my technique for the arrows and made a tutorial for you guys. Tactical Arrows I did the upper part of the running robed marine, smoothened some loin cloth with extra green stuff and continued the paint job on the charging marine here are 2 pics, I will post more tomorow and with the arms, most of the work will not be seen because of these (but as it's my first one it's probably better) As always, Critics and comments are welcomed and expected. tiny sam
Ok, having lost my cam for almost a week, and being occupied the rest of the time I wasn't able to post. BUT I did some progress. I managed to finish completly 4 marines 2 of the 4 running marines are finished Left Side a Generic Battle Brother (I try to dissumlate one AoBR in each Squad) I tried green eyes but wasn't happy with the result, but not enough to redone it in another color and the sergent's Herald And I progress on some other model Almost done with the Sergent (I realy need to do something for the Face grill) And I did some progess with the biggest part of some other model And And progress on my Home made robe, should be my next target after the sergent As Always Critics and Comment are welcomed and Expected. Either on the paint or the model itself Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223364-2011-lpc-vow-progress/#findComment-2681353 Share on other sites

Generating Random Name...
:D These guys are really good, they've got loads of character more so than most models! And the paintjob is cool and well exceuted! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223364-2011-lpc-vow-progress/#findComment-2687833 Share on other sites
snorkle
Very Nice. I really like the scheme My only two (small) complaints are that the pics aren't good enough to fully show off your marines, and I think I see a few mold lines, but otherwise great job ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223364-2011-lpc-vow-progress/#findComment-2688011 Share on other sites
tiny sam
these pictures are taken with three differents camera and unfortunately the only one I own is the crapiest one... but you are right I should try to make better photos and yes there are some mold lines I discovered during the painting process, these marines are "paint over" and might have lack of preperation at some point (either now or 3 years ago) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223364-2011-lpc-vow-progress/#findComment-2688321 Share on other sites
