Lamenters

@ gogmagog - I mix sunburst yellow and commando khaki till I get the right shade. I do it by eye so unfortunately I can't give you a precise mix ratio.

for Glendor. Lecture 1.

Always ensure your workplace is clear and free of any clutter; except for the bare minimum essentials.

The following bits will be needed; I wish this diamond plate was sticky backed.

Cut into little bits.

Stick.

And here's one I made earlier.

I like to cheat though, made a mould from the bunch of bases I got pre-made. Just dollop some two part liquid resin in, easy as pie. Has a 1:1 mix ratio so no buggering around

Bish, bash, bosh.

I've had a soft spot for the Lamenters since reading about them in "Space Marine" years ago, and the Yellow you use for them is exactly the yellow I imagine them to be. Yellow is one of the colours I hate having to use as it always goes wrong for me, but the colour mix you said in a post above, I'll have to try to do a Lamenter Marine some day

Love the Minis so far ;)

@ Vharing - I have mentioned the shop a few times but here's a link: http://www.modelshop.co.uk/product/1%3A25_..._single_MW40016

Do bear in mind that they charge a LOT for shipping so just google search and I'm sure you will find it cheaper elsewhere. If you live in London though they have a shop there. God bless living in the London commuter belt.

@ Demoulius - I quite like it, makes a nice difference to the normal Landraider or the old school versions. You would go green with envy if you knew how much of an ebay bargain it was though.

*shrugs* i bought one new from FW. money is meant to roll so i wont be bothered to much how much your e-bay bargain saved you ^_^

Thanks Grimdarkness.

Some more landraider shots, this bugger is taking a lot longer than I had first imagined.

The front ramp will get hazard markings on it eventually.

This side is going to take flipping ages.

Some of the slightly failed free hand mural type stuff that I decided wasn't utter excrement. I will just leave it as this dude and then put a name banner underneath him.

No more work on the infantry as I haven't had much time this weekend.

Climbing from number 52 to this week to number 1 (in the posting order) is my latest efforts from the wee small hours; what is it about man flu that encourages insomnia??

Without further ado is an update of the side of my landraider:

I have also made a base for the FW dread I got on ebay a while back, another bargain at 12 quid in the end.

And this is what it looks like with the rest of the dread:

Still think the base needs more but not sure what, any suggestions on that?

Finally, the first on my Sanguinary Guard to be almost finished, just a few more details and a base to go:

Quite happy with the how the wings came out in the end.

C&C welcome as always chaps.

@vonny - thanks for the suggestion, as you will see I still haven't decided what will go there just yet.

Anyway, I have been a bit lax in posting in my thread recently. Illness has allowed me some time to dip my dread in the paint pot. Here's where I am so far:

C&C welcome as always

Thanks Punkfish and Dreadknight.

I have finally finished my Dreadnought. By that I mean done enough for it to look done but could do with a few finishing touches that for the minute I can't be bothered to do.

Anyway:

C&C welcome as always. Till the next time.

I, LamenterMarine of the Lamenter Marines, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least 1 Tactical Squad of 10 marines, 1 Sanguinary Guard Squad of 5 marines, 1 Land Speeder and 1 Land Raider on or before the 31st of March, 2012. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done.

I'm mainly finishing a bunch of stuff that I had lying around half done for ages, except for my Land Speeder.

So, I thought I would put up my first WIP. I've been lazy and only sprayed my Land Speeder, though to make it look like I have done more I will post the other units that I am 'working on' for my vow.

Land Raider pretty much looks like this from the front at the moment. There are a few images of the sides back in the thread somewhere.

Time to crack the whip, any volunteers?

It's been a while since I posted anything. Real life stuff has gotten in the way somewhat.

Anyway, this thread is now over a year old, so thank you to everyone that has joined in so far.

Update on my LPC efforts. Think I will be lucky to get everything finished in time, anyway, photos:
