Mr.Millar
I would suggest this in addition to the gun carriage that is available from bitspudlo. pyrotj
I made the following using entirely spares from the imperial sector terrain set. http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/254/9/c/thunderfire_painted_1_by_pyrotj87-d2yhrzu.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223438-alternatives-to-make-thunderfire-cannons/page/2/#findComment-2824024 Share on other sites
The Emperor's Champion
Luckily, metal is on its way out and soon we SHOULD have Finecast Thunderfire Cannons. I want Thunderfires, but I avoid massive metal model contraptions like the plague, so I have none thus far. Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
any finecast model costs as much as the metal model does, so i would rather have it in metal. if there was a $$ difference, then i would go with the better deal. Hyaenidae
A finecast Thunderfire that costs over $50 US (finecast being more expensive and all) that melts in 85 degree weather (don't know about you guys, but my thermometer says 103 right now), or if sunlight hits it wrong? Thanks, but I'll go back to slicing my fingers up working on a metal one. I'd rather buy something that'll last, even if it's a nightmare to put together. Commander Sasha
Mine was an Aegis defence line gun £15.50 (and the Aegis walls are great too), and an Airfix tank, ~£10; my modelling skills have improved since, and I'm sure others could do a better job, but I still like the proportions of this one. Might do it again when I re-visit my marine army. http://i1203.photobucket.com/albums/bb398/dandanthelig/Warhammer/IMG_0519.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223438-alternatives-to-make-thunderfire-cannons/page/2/#findComment-2824525 Share on other sites
