lee265
Thunderhawk from kitbash and I'm guessing lots of plasticard is awsome. Can I ask do you remember what material went into it? Slayer le Boucher
By the looks of it my guess is: One land raider hull,One valkyrie kit,One stormraven kit and 2 rhinos hulls, lots of plasticard. Nice, very nice. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223442-thunderhawk/#findComment-2672464 Share on other sites
verpine
I like it, nice freehand. The middle section seems a bit streteched out, but it still looks great. I gotta say though, the cannon on top could use a lot more detail and love... BOBMAKENZIE
Thunderhawk from kitbash and I'm guessing lots of plasticard is awsome. Can I ask do you remember what material went into it? Assuming you wanted to do this conversion the only things you're really need are: Razorback, Rhino, Crusader, valk, storm raven. A couple packs of plastic card, a pack of plastic strips and a plastic tube. Plus a generous helping of bits. To be precise kits wise it would be... 1 Vindicator 1 Razorback 1 storm raven 1 valkyrie 1 Drop pod 1 set of Forgeworld rhino doors 1 Baal Predator 1 Land raider Crusader Parts wise... 4 rhino outter walls. 1 Storm Raven Turbine. 2 Storm Raven wings. 2 Valk Wings. 2 Razorback Lascannons. The Sponson tops & Cross bars & Sensors from a Land Raider(Hurrican bolter sensors) The missile pods from the Valk The forgeworld rhino doors with front plate trimmed down. A trimmed down Raven top and front. A trimmed down Valk rear the front carrier plate from the valk. A single BA emblem from the Drop Pod 2 Valk Turbines 2 2mm wide strips of plasticcard (the pre cut kind) 2 1/2mm thick sheets of plastic card. Some sprue for the inside... The magna grapple from the Raven. the top piece from the Vindicator. 2 of the decorative Baal pred pieces. The outter hull from the land raider. The landing gear from the Raven. Plastic tubing for the cannon. (I also used a single LotR movement tray to help support the plastic card in places. And some old binders to cut the winds out.) I like it, nice freehand. The middle section seems a bit streteched out, but it still looks great. I gotta say though, the cannon on top could use a lot more detail and love... The cannon I wanted simple. Its bound to wear out pretty quickly and have to be replaced. it seems alittle stretched cause its Thunderhawk Length but I've mounted the nose alittle differently.
