Since dreads are big, but not the most expressive or dynamic models in the world without major conversion, so I wanted the base to tell a little bit of a story as well. As for the blood stain, I'm sure there are plenty of unclaimed bloodstains on a battlefield. :P Though I considered making it a streak leading off the base to make it look like whatever had bled there had gotten dragged off, but I was happy how it had turned out and I didn't want the base to get too busy and distract too much from the model itself.
