puck
I don't have the codex in front of me, but me and a coworker are arguing about weither a librarian attached to a terminator squad in a land raider can use gate of infinity to drop the whole mess where ever you want (subject to the dice gods of course). What does the wording for gate say on this? I would argue that the raider is part of the wargear purchased by the attached squad much like an assult cannon or chainfist and as such should come with the squad. Wolf Priest Haelaeif
AFAICS, a unit embarked on a transport does not form a unit with that transport, but they are still two separate units. So if you may even use gate while embarked,* the unit you gate around does not include the vehicle it is embarked on. *I have no idea, may one? nurglez
the vehicle the librarian is inside is not part of his squad, so if he could use gate inside he and the squad he is with would get transported but the vehicle would be left behind (as long as he could actually cast gate inside a vehicle, I have no idea). Seahawk
Yes, you can use Gate of Infinite inside a vehicle. No, it only transports him and his squad, not the land raider or any other transport they may be in. In short, it's a neat way to disembark. <3 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223733-teleporting-land-raider/#findComment-2675512 Share on other sites
DerekLee688
Would you be able to move 12" and then gate 24"? I don't have my codex on me. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223733-teleporting-land-raider/#findComment-2675544 Share on other sites
SeattleDV8
No, as GoI is used at the beginning of the movement phase. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223733-teleporting-land-raider/#findComment-2675660 Share on other sites
