Warsmith Annüss
Here's a wip of the test model for the Ultramarines. Still quite a bit of work to do. http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/Lycan_999/IMG_0366-1-1.jpg http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/Lycan_999/IMG_0365-1-1.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223751-ultramarines-plog/ Share on other sites
Freakiq
Looks great so far, smooth highlights and solid colours. 4th company represent. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223751-ultramarines-plog/#findComment-2675518 Share on other sites
Pig Of Sparta
Looking pretty sweet. I really like the nice crisp white you've achieved on his cloak. The blue is a nice old school Ultra's shade as well. It's good to see older metal mini's getting some love too... Cheers James Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223751-ultramarines-plog/#findComment-2675550 Share on other sites
Warsmith Annüss
Thanks guys, I appreciate it. It's good to see older metal mini's getting some love too... Cheers James A lot of my stuff is around ten years old. Plenty of old metal to show. rusty1109
Love your test mini m8, ultramarines look best done in an ultra crisp style (sorry for the pun!) imo. Seeing your last pic reminds me of when I started my army, all those basecoated infantry! I'm onto tanks and the fun stuff now though so it's all good! Keep it up! The 40k Hobbiest
Well done, man. Graham McNeill would be proud. I agree that the cloak is quite well done. I like the base. What'd you use? Warsmith Annüss
I like the base. What'd you use? Cork tile. I got a four pack of 12x12 tiles at Target. Good stuff, cheap and a tile will supply a lot of minis. Thanks again for the comments. Hopefully have the capt finished up here soonish, then on to the army proper. Warsmith Annüss
So in order to keep myself motivated I am turning this into a plog. I signed up for the LPC, not realising it was to late, but have decided to stick to my pledge. So here are pics of what I have pledged and proof I am still, slowly, working. http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/Lycan_999/IMG_0377-1.jpg http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/Lycan_999/IMG_0381-1.jpg http://i710.photobucket.com/albums/ww108/Lycan_999/IMG_0382-1-1.jpg Lighting is crap. I need to tone down some of the shading on the cloak and bring the whites back up. Other wise he's getting there, especially now that I got my bits order in.
