Brother_Ovis
First, as a reference to what I'm talking about, please take a look at this picture: http://asset.soup.io/asset/0921/5116_4ac3.jpeg Now this is one of the best examples of battle damage on a PA I've ever seen. Especially on the powerfist - it looks really like a piece of battered industrial machinery, think yellow excavator B) But to my eye it looks so cool because of the "dirty" dark transition between bare metal and yellow paint. With my RG's black armour this transition is gone and all battle damage will look highly contrasting - black to metal, which I'm afraid will look unnatural. So the question is - what painting trick will get me this microscopic dirty patches around scratches on black armour? Brother Nihm
We already have a topic discussing this, please continue your quest there. (it also has some nice advice, e.g. the hairspray method) :) http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=199128 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/223859-battle-damage-on-black-armour-how/#findComment-2676948 Share on other sites
